Community Memorial Service for Tatsuo Nakata, November 18, 2006

It is an honor to provide these photos in memory of both the tears and joys associated with the life of Matthew Tatsuo Nakata, who at the age of 29 was tragically taken from this community. Tatsuo Nakata was the chief of staff for Seattle Councilmember David Della. He was a former legislative assistant to State Representative Velma Veloria and was the youngest ever president of the Seattle chapter of the Japanese American Citizen's League. A strong and outspoken leader and mentor, he was a beloved friend and a pillar of the Asian American community. A memorial fund has been established in his name and donations will be accepted at any Washington Mutual bank branch office at account number #313-108130-3.
