13th Annual University of Washington MAP Bridging the Gap Breakfast
On October 27, 2007 the Multicultural Alumni Partnership (MAP) of the University of Washington presented its 13th annual Bridging the Gap Breakfast on Homecoming Day.
During this celebration of diversity, awards were given to Phil Lane Jr, CEO of United Indians and to Carolyn Chow of the UW School of Nursing. Distinguished Alumni Awards were given to Harold G. Booker, J.D., Ruthann Kurose and Rogelio Riojas.
Six outstanding UW students received scholarship awards in recognition of their hard work and contribution to the university.
Corporate sponsors included Safeco Insurance, Macy*s, The Nielsen Company, Pfizer, the UW Alumni Association, the UW Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity and the UW Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
