NWIRP 26th Anniversary Celebration, October 1 2010
THe Northwest Immigrant Rights Project celebrated its 26th anniversary on October 1 2010 at the Skybridge of the Washington State Convention Center. Event awardees incuded community-based organization Casa Latina and volunteer attorney Margaret Gaffney. The event included poetry readings by youth from the Youth Voices Project: "Stories of Arrival." Attendees also enjoyed a multi-media "Story Project" , a fair trade exhibition by Fair Trade Seattle and fair trade shopping with UKUSH and Ten Thousand Villages.
