Social Justice Fund NW The Sum of Our Stories
“The Sum of Our Stories: A Celebration of Social Justice Fund” took place Saturday September 17, 2011 at the Pravda Studios in Seattle, WA.
The event featured stories by SJF NW members, delicious food, awards, live art, ceramic pieces for sale, a celebration of recent successes, and a dance party! Michael Woo was honored for his leadership in the creation of the non profit "Got Green." Susan Balbas was honored for her work with Native Action. Members Sunny Kim, Dean Jackson, Victor Chudnowski and Gail Small shared personal stories of their social justice journeys. Artists Rose Drummond and Adrian Miller were featured.
Social Justice Fund NW is a member-funded foundation that supports the creation of a just society through fundraising, grantmaking, and member involvement. The foundation provides essential resources to organizations in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming to strengthen grassroots efforts in the broad-based movement for progressive, systemic social change.
