Paddle to Squaxin 2012

Tribal Journeys began in 1989 with nine canoes participating in "Paddle to Seattle" the first year followed by 23 canoes participating in "Paddle to Bella Bella" soon after. Since 1993, Tribal Journey, also known as "the Paddle" has been held on an annual basis, with various tribes serving as the host tribe. This year Squaxin Island is the gracious host tribe of this event. Nearly 100 canoes participated in the landing protocol on Sunday July 29.
